Shafvan Basheer Ahammed graduated with a B.S. and M.S in chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal, in 2022. Under the supervision of Prof. Sanjit Konar, he investigated the magnetic and catalytic properties of mixed addenda polyoxometalates. Shafvan joined the group of Prof. Selvan Demir at Michigan State University in the fall 2023. His current research focuses on exploration of organometallic complexes with rare earth metals for applications in quantum information sciences.
